Springfield is a themed area for the Simpsons of Universal Orlando. And whether or not you’re a fan of the long-running show, the level of detail is sure to impress you. While I don’t claim to be a Simpsons expert, this area is one of my favorites for its level of detail and dedication to the source material. (Universal now has Springfield / Simpsons area in their California city, because of its popularity in Orlando.)
Universal Orlando is where you ever thought that you loved Bart Simpson. Springfield. The Simpsons Character Zone is located directly next to the Boulevard Fastfood and the time (as amended) is seen throughout the day. Yet there can be multiple realistic characters in all large families in Simpson (Homer, Bart, Marge and Lisa). If you want someone, ask a team member when the availability of the character shifts during the day.
Rides In Springfield
Springfield has two attractions.
The Simpsons Ride
The first is Simpsons Dash. Two trips. The Simpsons Ride has substituted the Back To The Future Ride but is also a motion simulator. During this tour, you will be meeting the Simpsons during Krustyland just for the attraction of Sideshow Bob. The ride and its pre-show at its neighboring competitor have some strong points. The riding of the Simpsons is 40 “in height and the customer of less than 48” has to be accompanied by another rider 14 or older. (No one to the Hall of Interior Secretaries? Krustyland says there’s no waiting).
Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl
The other is Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl. This flight, given the name, is surprisingly mild and equals dumbo or one fish, two fish. The difference is that riders are “brainwashed” by the green aliens to destroy the Simpsons. This trip never has long waiting times and has no high demands. (Although the individual must be followed by a mandatory guideline for people under 48 inches).
Dining At Springfield: Home of The Simpsons overview
Bumblebee Man’s Tacos
Bumblebee Man’s taco truck is the first eatery guest to walk in Springfield USA from the main gates to take advantage of the famous food phenomenon. The taco is adorned with an enormous taco on the front bumper. Even bigger heads from the roof are Bumblebee Man. The issue goes on inside the vehicle, as the members of the team are clad in stylish little bee suits with antennas.
The taco truck in Bumblebee Man serves soft and new shell tacos, made to order. There are two kinds of tortilla shells, maize, and meal, with the meal being the default if a choice is not given. Beware of vegetarians, each taco includes fish, poultry or chicken.
What are the tacos like? Fine! All four of the options have been tried and all have been well done. Whereas guacamole and salsa appeared to be of different kinds, each other item tasted great. The food quality at Moe’s Southwest Grill in CityWalk is extremely competitive. The meat is well savored, the flavorsome surfaces and the tortilla chips on the hand are far higher than in a theme park. The Carne Asada and Korean Beef are our favorite tacos.
An outdoor bar area with plenty of sitting facilities to relax off the Universal waterfront, the Duff Brewery is a wonderful addition. It belongs to the bigger “Duff Gardens,” a theme park owned by a beer brawling corporation in The Simpsons television show and shrunk in a pub. A statue of the Duffman hilarious character is available for the photo operas and the “7 Duffs,” the Duff Gardens mascots and the Disney Seven Dwarfs spoof are spectacular topiaries. Tipsy, Queasy, Surly, Sleazy, Edgy, Dizzy and Remorseful are their names.
At the Simpsons TV show, Duff, Duff Lite, and Duff Dry are all the same beer, and Duff Gardens at Universal pays a nice tribute to that if you look around. The Duff beers themselves at Duff Brewery are completely different from each other. Duff beer is similar to the regular standard beer, as is Miller Lite and heavy dark beer, like an Irish heavy, or Murphy. Duff beer is the same as Yuengling and Duff Lite. All three of these beers are brewed exclusively for Universal by the Florida Brewing Company, which is also brewing the Hog’s Head Ale in Harry Potter’s Wizard World.
Since Duff Brewery is open, any guest, particularly on a hot day, can always attract a large crowd. The bar and surrounding area have plenty of seats. Order a drink here (Squishee banana is particularly delicious), but do not eat the hot dogs for all that is nice and sacred: they were longer than those in Kwik-E-Mart’s Apu on those rollers.
Fast Food Boulevard
Quick Food Blvd, formerly the Festival International Food and Movie, has most likely converted the worst food court in any park in Orlando into one of the most fun of all kinds of food in Universal. Guests will dine in the cleverly-named Krusty Burger, The Frying Dutchman, Flaming Moe’s, The Simpsons TV show, Cletus ‘ Chicken Shop, Luigi’s Pizza, and the Lisa’s Teahouse of Terror.
In addition to the funny menus themselves (taste-tested by Simpsons TV show writers), Fast Food Boulevard features things you can’t find anywhere else in the park-like a pulled pork sandwich, chicken & waffle sandwich, tater tots and seasoned curly fries instead of the usual French fries served anywhere else. Our favorites are the gorgeous Clogger Burger, the tender calamari fired, and the chicken & waffle sandwich (with extra mayonnaise on the side). And thanks largely to Lisa’s Teahouse of Terror, Fast Food Boulevard also has many choices for vegetarians and vegans besides the popular garden salad at your table.
Note that this is a very popular lunch spot, and a long line can grow. In small groups, guests are queuing inside and leaving for the service stations. Once you’ve ordered and received your meal, pay the cashier and you’ll find an empty desk for the employee. The cycle is going to take a while on busy days, and the televisions are showing a maddeningly brief loop of classic Simpsons clips.
Lard Lad Donuts is famous for one of the most iconic items in the world of the Simpsons, a spoof of the Bob’s Big Boy chain of restaurants, the pink sprinkling of lard lad donut. The Brain Freezin’ D’oh-Nut Sundaes are the biggest threat, while the usual donuts are more than a little pricey here for $2.29 each.
Part of a rose-flavored donut and light ice cream at the two ends.
Take Duff or Flaming Moe from this recreation of Homer and Barney’s haunt on The Simpsons TV Show (regular or Duff Light on draft or glass, Duff Dry on jar only). There are nodes to Barney himself and a working love tester full of nodes for the TV series. If you’re lucky enough to sit on a red phone at the top of the bar, you can only take a phone call.
The first signature ‘ experience’ drink to date was the Flaming Moe drink itself. A Flaming Moe comes in a souvenir glass that covers dry ice with a separate compartment and is priced at approximately $8 each. When you’re served with an orange soda-tasting drink, it bubbles up with smoke floating out, giving a really good picture of being on fire. The Flaming Moe is non-alcoholic and will certainly reach the younger set when they first see it.
Simpsons Hot Dogs
Located opposite the Simpsons Coaster, this Hot Dog booth is linked to Krustyland’s “cheap” carnival setting. In Springfield USA, you’re also just a step away from the Simpsons Couch Gag Photo Link experience; and with a hot dog or a turkey beet benefit, some of these photo choices are just fun. You’ve got a lot of fun. The slogan “over a dozen served” on his sticker.
