There’s something for every budget at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. While you can enjoy some activities without paying much, spending a lot of money is very simple, particularly when you graze around the booths of the marketplace.
Weather-wise, August is the least fun month for the case, and November is the best experience. Beyond that, there are a few Tips that should be remembered.
First: Care About The Cash
I mention every year, but again it’s true: your cash doesn’t go very far in particular. Portions don’t seem lower than last year, nor do rates seem bigger, but they’ve both been pretty bad last year, so it’s not like it should be seen as a positive thing.
Second: Busy Times
on Saturdays and after school, lines are far worse and not nearly as bad on weekdays by 11 a.m. around 5 p.m. If Epcot is busier, don’t be shocked if you linger at the cash registers in-line 10 or more minutes and grocery pick-up another 10 minutes.
For the more popular booths, which is especially true during peak times in October, and November, we have warned about long lines on the weekends in the past. It increases the influence of water and energy boiling out. In comparison, you will see no queues at all on a weekday in September (or even later in the year).

Last but not least, food quality remains high. The food lineups have been really good for the last couple of years, and I would argue that the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival last year exceeded the previous year’s festival in terms of quality. Everything is extremely well done from the value of the sweets to the booths themselves.
The list of celebrity chefs may be of concern to those wanting to splurge on special events during Food and Wine. Such guest chefs are holding several regular presentations, great-tasting sessions Party for the Senses, beer and cheese workshops, and other activities, all of which are a big part of the festival.
The Disney du Jour Dance Party returns to the Future World on the media side and is now a regular proposition. A DJ will play on Sundays and Thursdays; celebrities from Radio Disney will ramp up the mix of live performances on Fridays and Saturdays. Meg Donnelly from the original Disney Channel film “Zombies” will feature on the opening weekend.
When arranging an Eat to the Beat Dining Package for breakfast, lunch or dinner in one of the many Epcot restaurants, you can even promise your concert seats. This kit is typically viewed as needless unless there is a particularly famous act or you want top seats. This is not as common as Candlelight Processional, so there is no need to waste unnecessary money on a dining kit.
Epcot Food’s Clever Strategy And Tips
Although the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is a nice way to sample (mostly) good food, it is also very common.
Several stalls at the Food and Wine Festival have long lines to purchase or pick up by midday. World Showcase is an ocean of sweating people by late-afternoon with some booth queues waiting longer than attractions. Attach any extremely drunken visitors to this little sun, and it can be an awkward combination.

Leave the Shrimp, Take the Salmon & Scallops
With rare exceptions, at the Food and Wine Festival in Epcot, shrimps are overpriced, rubbery, and generally unpleasant. We’ve noticed it’s one aspect that the culinary teams consistently don’t get wrong in all our years of doing the case. Salmon and scallop dishes, on the other hand, are almost always fine.
Escape the Hot & Heavy
For an event that starts in August and ends throughout September and October–two months that are still usually very hot and humid in Florida, Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival generally features a lot of hot and heavy foods. While many of these are good and worth doing, you’re going to want to stretch them out so they don’t overheat you further.
It’s a good idea to take a rest from World Showcase events during the hottest part of the day and go to indoor and air-conditioned films and other attractions.
Go On A Weekday
from a crowd’s standpoint we mentioned this above, but you’re going to want to go on a weekday to escape the party atmosphere. Weekends are when students from local colleges come down to Epcot to turn the place into a total frat party. I love frat parties just as much as the next guy, but for frat parties, there’s a time and place.
you will be lined up for the first kiosk right before Food and Wine started. Early in the day, the queues were much shorter, but perhaps as significant is that at 11 am it is not yet so warm as at 2 pm. The stalls have so little shade.
Stay or Arrive Late
Global Marketplace lines typically peak during prime meal hours, dropping by around 8 pm as people find spectacular night spots for Epcot. Although we suggest doing the same and finding a viewing spot, it’s also a good idea to send someone to get some of the lighter dishes you missed earlier to enjoy after the sun’s down!
The Epcot Food Events
There are many occasions other than the slows down at the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. A portion of these is normal things like week by week addresses, which are effectively available to the run of the mill guest.

- “What’s Cookin’ With…” stars some of the country’s top famous chefs, off in the morning with a tasty brunch plated and sparkling wine toast. It ends with a show, accompanied by the audience’s chefs answering questions and telling their anecdotes.
Honestly, I’m not at all involved in these. Well, they’re doing… but not because of those prices. While I’d find myself somewhat of a foodie and I’m sure the dishes served at them are fantastic, it seems to me that you’re spending a large premium on what equivalent in the real world would run.
I believe there’s not only the usual Walt Disney World discount here, but limited prices too because many of these activities are extremely small. Disney understands that there are plenty of visitors with substantial disposable income that will not scoff at high prices to fill the activities. That’s just my take, and again it’s an outsider perspective, as none of these I’ve ever done.
Special Entertainment In Epcot Food Festival
The concert series is performed in the World Showcase at Epcot at night at the American Gardens Theater in front of the American Adventure. The shows work from August 29 to November 19, 2019, finishing up a couple of days before the rest of the celebration to make way for the recovery of the acclaimed Candlelight Processional of the recreation center during the Christmas season.
Well known craftsmen from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s play a portion of their greatest hits to crowds at the Food and Wine Festival during these Eat to the Beat shows. The two exhibitions are incorporated with access to Epcot and are performed three times each night at 5:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m., and 8 p.m. Albeit safe, this year Disney is selling a saved seating Eat to the Beat Dining Set.

The biggest downside to Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival is that it’s almost all outside, and the heat and humidity make it tough in August, September, and sometimes October. Start juggling your day with plenty of AC breaks, so it’s not too terrible. November is usually a lot more fun.
Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival can be a great event and you don’t have to break the bank, but it can be expensive, busy, humid and noisy as well. In the sense you have, planning makes all the difference. Remember that if you take nothing else from this post.

There’s also a lot to do. Even if every Food and Wine Festival day you went to Epcot, you couldn’t see it all. We mention a lot of expenses here, and for good reason: without really trying, you could waste a ridiculous amount of money. Only browsing the different afternoon booths could put a lot of money back on you.
This is not intended to frighten you away from the Food and Wine Festival. When you plan, skip the hordes of people during the weekend, and get blessed with mild weather, it can be a huge amount of fun.
