It is also possible to create a water-based obstacle course to make a splash.
This small indoor play area is perfectly suited for very small children. The Barney Backyard can be accessed by walking through a special entrance close to the Barney Shop (a gift shop) after enjoying a day in the park with Barney. The activities are interactive in this playground. Kids will run, walk, dance, and play with water and sand.

The Kitty Kat Club is a nod to Cabaret, the Hudson Street Home for Girls is located in Annie, and The Godfather has influenced both Louie’s Restaurant and O’Rourke’s Bar and Grill.
There are a few other hidden connections in the New York area. You’ll find that the Archangel has the face of Jay Stein if you look closely at Gramercy Park’s Archangel Statue (popular after Manhattan’s true park). Other members of the universal staff have a node on the building facades and windows of the Metropolitan Tribune building, the name of the founder of Universal Studios Florida, who served as president of MCA / Universal from the 1980s to the early 1990s.
Another nice feature of New York is the large grass patch modeled after part of Central Park. This scenic setting is a lovely place to stop in the park.

In June 2010 Universal’s Islands of Adventure opened the Wizards world of Harry Potter-Hogsmeade. The 20-acre park has been an overwhelming success, leading to an imminent expansion of the Universal Orlando Resort. The decision-makers chose to add a second Harry Potter Wizard universe to the Universal Studios of Florida rather than add Hogsmeade in the Islands of Adventure. The modern wizarding world is based on Harry Potter’s books and movies, like Diagon Alley, the Wizarding London market.
Stuart Craig was again taken to direct Diagon’s Alley design by his beloved producer of Potter Films and the Hogsmeade Park area. Diagon Alley is not available, like in books and films. The region next to Lagoon that includes London’s attractions like King’s Cross Station, Wyndham’s Theatre, Square Station and the Eros Fountain from the Piccadilly Circus must first be entered into the London waterfront. Guests walk down into Diagon Alley as they reach the right spot on the London façade.
The Harry Potter-Diagon Alley Wizarding World is Florida’s most comprehensive and immersive thematic environment. There are wizards and restaurants on the streets of this area. A huge Gringotts Bank, above which there is a flaming dragon from Ukraine, is the most striking site. While some of the shop fronts are only façades, many are actual structures to be visited.
The immersive wall experience enables people to use walls (bought in the park) to communicate with several objects in Diagon Alley is one of the most peculiar features. You look like having performed real magic as you wave the wall and see that you turn on the water or have shifted something in a window of the warehouse.
The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley Rides
Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts is the signature attraction of Diagon Alley, housed at the large Gringotts branch. The journey features Harry Potter, high-tech 3D, and motion control characters.
The Hogwarts Express is the famous train from Platform 9 3/4 to Hogwarts Castle with Harry Potter. The train takes tourists from London’s King’s Cross Station (along Diagon Alley) to Hogsmeade Station, the Adventure Islands section of Hogsmeade. You need a ticket to the Park with this attraction.

The good news is all Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure’s rides have Child Swap areas. In these rides family stay at the queue, when it is their turn, one parent takes the child to the Child Swap rooms and the other goes on the ride. At the time the ride is over, the parents swap over so there is always an adult taking care of the kid. Child Swap rooms have lots of entertainment for children to create moments of happiness for them.
City Walk: The Alive Part Of The Universal Studio Orlando
In case you’re wondering what City Walk is, let us explain. It’s Universal Studio’s ‘downtown’ entertainment area which is packed full of restaurants, bars, and shops. City Walk comes alive at night when the parks empty and everyone goes in search of a much-needed refuel. Shops are selling official Universal Studios merchandise, clubs, a karaoke bar, and even a crazy golf course. City Walk is a great place to spend your evenings whilst at Universal Orlando Resort and is completely free to access.
Best Times to Visit Universal Studio Orlando
When is the best time to travel Universal Studio Orlando? The answer is depending on your attitude for example which of these features are important for you: weather, price, crowed or vocation time. Let’s check out all the features.
Those who hate the hot weather are recommended to travel to Orlando from May to July. Orlando’s temperature in these months is good but consider that Florida’s hurricane season accrued in fall’s month so the weather is not pleasured all the days. Also, school recesses and holidays are in December and Orlando is waiting for a lot of tourists and it is packed with people. Another issue with the holidays is the hotels’ costs, they grow up dramatically. Summer is the worst time to visit Universal Studio Orlando because the weather is sultry and school break causes hotel costs to increase.
How Is The Universal Studio Security Situation?
Orlando’s theme parks have enjoyed a decades-long reputation for providing a clean and safe environment for all guests. Over the years the theme parks’ security procedures have evolved, adding layers and new processes. Keep in mind, there are multiple layers of security at all the parks. Some efforts go unseen and procedures we don’t know about. For example, at Universal Studio every guest will go through a metal detector and all bags go through an x-ray machine. When you first approach the security checkpoint it does resemble being at the airport. This security checkpoint is for all guests regardless of if you are visiting the theme parks or just CityWalk.

But there are so many more options to consider too, with hotels of all types and styles just outside the official park boundaries but still extremely close to all the action. It should go without saying that free shuttles to all the parks are available from any of these Universal Studios Orlando hotels.
